Applications & Features:
This Rescue Tube is pivotal rescue equipment, strategically stationed at main rescue points and units, making it perfect for efficiently rescuing individual victims.
Designed for versatility, the rescue tube can be securely fastened around a victim's torso, proving exceptionally effective in challenging conditions such as large surf, or when assisting unconscious victims.
Owing to its soft exterior, the rescue tube is perfectly suited for iconic Baywatch-style rescues or when utilized in tandem with a rescue board, ensuring a safe and efficient rescue operation.
To deploy the rescue tube, simply secure it around the victim with the clasp positioned behind them, ensuring a snug and reliable fit.
For unconscious individuals, the lifeguard should securely fasten the rescue tube around the victim and employ the cross-chest swimming technique to safely transport them to shore.
Larger victims can comfortably remain secure within the rescue tube without requiring a cross-chest carry; however, lifeguards must exercise caution to ensure the victim remains safe, particularly in turbulent surf conditions.
When necessary, the rescue tube may be used without fastening it around the victim. However, if used like a rescue can, lifeguards should be vigilant as the victim may lose grip on the rubber surface.
The Rescue Tube must be stored in an elongated position to maintain its integrity. Avoid folding the tube as it can lead to rubber deterioration. Additionally, the line should not be wrapped around the tube during storage. Prior to use, lifeguards must inspect the line for any wear and ensure the clasp is free of corrosion.
